Who We Are
Since 2016, Double R has expanded locations 3 different times. Double R Hat House is now located on 462 Highway 290 East, Elgin, Texas 8621. With over 3000 square feet of retail space, Rangel and team successfully run central & south Texas’ largest hat retailer. With every product, hat and service, we emphasize our second to none quality, and customer service, because there are ‘plenty of hat shops, but only one hat house’!
Our Mission
Our goal here at Double R Hat House is to keep the quality, top-notch service, and customer satisfaction a priority with every hat that leaves our door. We hold true to our family values and want our customers to feel like a part of our Double R family when they shop with us. The relationships we build here in the store are ones that we value just as much as our craftsmanship we offer. Ultimately, we want our customers to enjoy their hats, just as much as we enjoy creating them!

Why Double R?
Emilio’s long time interest for cowboy hats and eye for detail led him to create the missing puzzle piece for those wanting a quality hand creased hat. Having a open crown creased to your head is an experience that everyone deserves when buying a hat. It gives the customer freedom to showcase any look or style. “There is no personality or unique detail to a precreased hat. In a room full of cookie cutter hats, a hand creased hat will always stand out.”
When Double R Hat House opened in 2016, it set the bar in buying a hat. We believe that with every unique personality there needs to be a unique shaped hat to represent that person. Hats can tell a lot about a person from the crease of the crown to the roll of the brim.
Double R champions the working cowboy, and sets out to meet “Cowboy Quality” standards. By prioritizing quality we have earned the trust of many, We not only reach customers from all over, but create lifetime relationships with everyone who walks through our door. We ensure every customer is greeted with a friendly smile and a knowledgeable staff. We make sure to make every customer feel like they’ve worn a hat their whole life, we take our time and educate each customer of the hat process.
With every hat we shape, we strive to embody the western artist! Because of our fine attention to detail, we feel the same love for craftsmanship that goes into making handmade boots, saddles, bits n’ spurs.
